Algirdas Saudargas

(born April 17, 1948 in Kaunas) - Lit huanian diplomat, politician, foreign minister in 1990-1992 and 1 996-2000. In 1972 he graduated in biophysics in the Kaunas Medica l Institute, after which he worked in academic centers and resear ch: the Institute of Mathematics and Cybernetics, Lithuanian Academy of Sciences (1972-1977), a lecturer in mathematics at the Agricultural University (1977-1982), as researcher at Kaunas branch of the Research Institute of Chemical Compounds (1982-1986) and researcher at the Central Laboratory of the Scientific and Laboratory Neurochirurgicznego Kaunas Medical Institute (1986-1990). Since 1988, engaged in the business Sajudis.
